We are looking for a Customs specialist (m/w/d) – 100% for our site in Bassersdorf (Zürich) to strengthen our team and drive excellence in import/export operations. What you will do:
- Overseeing and managing all import and export operations between Switzerland and other countries.
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance by reviewing customs declarations and related documentation.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest customs regulations and ensuring full adherence to relevant laws and procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all customs-related matters, both internally and externally.
- Providing guidance and support to internal teams on customs-related matters.
- Proactively identifying and resolving potential customs risks.
- Developing and implementing efficient customs compliance procedures and policies.
- Keeping detailed and accurate records of all customs documentation to ensure full transparency.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics or any related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in managing customs operations, preferably in the logistics industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Swiss customs regulations and clearance procedures.
- Certified Authorized Customs Representative (or similar qualification) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work efficiently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Fluency in both German and English (additional languages are a plus).
